26-channel FireWire Audio/MIDI Interface
Alesis ramps up the I/O with the IO|26, a FireWire audio/ MIDI interface with support for upwards of 26 channels of audio, S/PDIF and ADAT digital inputs, plus a built-in 16-channel MIDI interface. The tabletop-friendly IO|26 offers eight analog mic/line inputs on combo connectors with phantom power and insert jacks, plus a high-impedance input for recording guitars and basses as well as a switchable phono preamp - everything required in the high-end home studio or project studio environments.

Alesis IO|26 FireWire Audio/MIDI Interface Features:

Eight analog mic/line inputs on combo connectors with phantom power and insert jacks
Ability to patch signal processing equipment directly into the signal path of each channel via the channel inserts
ADAT optical input capability, with support for as many as 16 channels of ADAT digital audio
16-channel MIDI interface
16 ADAT channels at 44.1 and 48 kHz; eight ADAT channels at 88.2 and 96 kHz
2-channel, 24-bit S/PDIF connector (RCA)

“I got the IO2 two days ago, loaded the drivers, plugged in the device into my PC... device "UKNOWN" urgh... I spent 40 minutes on the phone with the Alesis support team and the guy basically gave up on me. I called Sweetwater Tech Support this morning and Mike had the problem solved in under three minutes.
