Years ago, I had a little analog multi-track studio (anyone remember the Fostex R8?). I had the hardware version of the D82 Sonic Maximizer; must have been the early 90s version of the 882i. It was the very last processor the signal went through on mixdown, and in live situations, it was the last stage before the power amps. The thing was completely idiot-proof, one of those magic boxes that you just plugged in and it instantly made everything sound better.

The D82 is exactly the same. It couldn't be any easier to use, with just 3 dials to twiddle, and the improvement to the signal is like day and night. I quickly tested it out with Logic, DP, and Pro Tools, and it worked flawlessly with each app.

An absolutely wonderful plugin, and from now on an integral part of my setup.

I am currently using the 10 day demo of this product and it is amazing. I used it on a vocal track and I was able to achieve stunning results that i could not reproduce on an EQ. Turning up the highs gives presence and air to the track without ANY siblance. The lows gave the vocal body without mud. just an amazing product that every engineer should have.
