Just Say NO To Noise!
RODE's NT1-A is one of the world's quietest microphones! Why is that important? Low noise will give your work the dynamics you deserve. Adding noise from any device, especially at the source, only degrades your performance. The NT1-A has a self-noise of only 5 dB-A! The NT1-A can handle 137dB SPL so you can be confident that even in front of loud guitar cabinets, your recording won't distort due to overload. By providing ultra-quiet operation and being versatile enough to handle a wide variety of signals, the NT1-A is an affordable studio solution!

RODE NT1-A At-a-Glance:
  • Works on Any Sound Source
  • Included Accessories

Works on Any Sound Source
The NT1-A is just at home in front of a world class vocalist as it is in front of a guitar cabinet. Acoustic guitars sing through the NT1-A, and the 137dB SPL prevents overloads no matter what the sound source. The low self noise ensures that even the faintest whisper will be captured with exceptional detail. The NT1-A is affordable enough to purchase a pair of them for overheads and stereo placement.

Included Accessories
Continuing the tradition of the original NT1, the NT1-A is a budget-busting microphone that delivers great sound and quality that you can see and hear. The body is satin, nickel-plated and RODE includes a dedicated shock mount and zip pouch.

Customer Reviews
Great mic for voice overs, recording audio books, etc.
by Tim Warneka from Cleveland, OH, November 14, 2008

“Great mic! I use this NT1-A for recording voice overs for videos I produce. I recently used it to record an audio book version of a book I wrote.

I run the NT1-A into a Apogee Duet into a Apple laptop ... I get warm soundtracks that I can easily import into Final Cut Pro or Logic.

I love how this microphone sounds ... warm and natural. I haven't found a better...” Read More

Sweetwater Expert Advice

"I was a big fan of the NT1, and Rode has done it again with the NT1A. A great first "big boy" mic for the project studio or a versatile addition to any professional mic closet."
Bob Furlong

"Don't let the price of this mic fool you. The NT-1A has been my favorite mic for horns on stage for several years. The high SPL tolerances and ability to reproduce delicate sounds make its great for everything from rocking trumpets to jazzy saxes."
Rob Russell

"Get this mic while you can! Once you hear it, you'll wonder why you didn't pay at least three times the money. I've sung into this mic with great results. It's very quiet and it allowed for a nice, smooth vocal."
Joe Gilder
